I finally tried out the Sugar cosmetics’ most coveted lip crayon, Matte As Hell in Poison Ivy. A deep wine color, that is perfect for winter on medium to dusky skin beauties. The colour imitates that of a frosted dark burgundy wine. What I love about this matte crayon is that it is powdery matte, yet doesn’t dry up my lips. This crayon is available in four shades, the
- 01 Scarlett O’Hara : A bright tomato red lipstick, that is a statement in itself. It’s a bright tomato red color
- 02 Mary Poppins : A cooler fuchsia
- 03 Poison Ivy : A deep burgundy color
- 04 Holly Golightly : A classic rouge / rose colour

What I love about the Sugar – Matte as Hell – Poison Ivy is that:
- It’s powdery matte yet is creamy in texture that glides easily on my lips making it smoother (provided it is exfoliated of course)
- Highly pigmented crayons, you’ll get an opaque colour just with 2 swipes of the crayon
- It feels light on your lips almost like you have nothing on, yet doesn’t dry it out
- Stays for a good 4 hours or until you have had a heavy meal. With just a coffee it stays for 2 hours
- The simple clean packaging
- The fact that it comes with a sharpener and I don’t have to go buy a new one every time
- Doesn’t have any fragrance to it
- Doesn’t bleed outside the lip line, you may also use it as a lip liner
- SUGAR lip crayon has a wax-based formulation that does not contain mineral oil, parabens, paraffin, phenoxyethanols, volatile cyclomethicones (D4, D5, D6) and animal derived ingredients. Therefore making it 100% safe
What I do not like:
- A little extra pressure and the crayon tip just breaks, these do roll of the table and fall and every time it does the tip cracks too, I have to start all new by sharpening it that might lead to additional wastage
- Not many shades to choose from
- Leaves stain behind and you have to use a makeup remover to full get rid of it
- You have to make sure your lips are exfoliated every time you use them, else you’ll see

I just love the range of lipstick and crayons they have launched. True title.
Hey Gorgeous!
The shade you are sporting is gorgeous.
I really wanted this shade but got the shade Mary Poppins in my Fab bag. I was expecting the shade to be a bit darker or have you stayed light on your application. It really suits you though!
