Van Heusen + LnkedIn presents Most Fashionable Professional 3.0

Power Dressing is an age old way of showing who you are and what you work as, by the way you dress. You need to ‘dress to impress’ when it comes to power dressing because, it’s only one chance you get to impress your peers, superiors and your clients. And you’ll gonna wanna put in your best at this. My years of work experience in the field of Finance started with me as a Junior Credit Analyst and took me to the Team Lead for Credit Analysts that I am today. I couldn’t emphasize more on the importance of Power Dressing at work and trust me, Finance is a field where you are judged for your capability in playing around with numbers and your power dressing quotient too. You need to dress to gain respect and success in this field, for you are being constantly reviewed by people around you.

Now Van Heusen is taking up this initiative at recognizing executives who go that extra mile of dressing well and being good at work as well. All you have to do is Log in here – http://www.vhmfp.com/ with your LinkedIn ID and then nominate 5 of your colleagues in your network for the contest. On the basis of the nominations received and their Power Scores, 20 people will be shortlisted and then a panel of fashion experts will select 5 male and 5 female winners. The winners of the contest will be featured in one of the country’s leading fashion magazine too. This portal is open from July 1st, 2015 until the end of the month. I nominated a few of my colleagues Mr. Anand, Mr. Harsha, Ms. Vibha, Ms. Aditi & Mr. Vishwanath.

Sadly, back then we didn’t have a contest to reward executives for all their extra efforts in how they dressed at work. But now that you have a chance, hurry and nominate your colleagues for all that extra effort they put into Power Dressing at work! 2. Great piece of info you shared… Although I don’t know anything about finance but I can relate it pretty well as I myself wants to dress as nicely as possibly and occasaion appropriate x

  3. wow, that’s a pretty cool yet a little stressful initiative? it’ll probably die off in my industry of work (building and construction) whereby everyone wears tee and jeans. heh!

  4. this is great! i power dress every now and again at work even though we don’t have a dress code

  5. I strongly believe that your clothes do not matter if you have a strong personality. With a great personality you can look amazing if you are dressed in rags. 🙂

  6. I’ve never heard of the term ‘power dressing’ before. I love the idea and the look. I have a uniform at work

  7. The contest is interesting! ^^
I hope someone nominates you too, I followed you on IG and like your style 🙂
