As the weather gets gloomy, we tend to add in darker tones to our wardrobe. Be it in the form of apparel or in terms of a few beauty essentials such as eye shadows and lip colours. As we have a lot more grey around us, the summer colours such as corals and pinks turn to deeper reds and mauve. On that note, here are three of my favourite lip shades this fall. They are dark and mostly matte, but are creamy rich, so your lips stay nourished all the time.
I tend to wear a lot of Greys and Blues during fall / winter. To add a pop of colour I lean towards a bright shade of 70s Red, than a pop of pink. So, my pick is the Sugar Cosmetics, It’s a Pout Time Vivid Lipstick, 05 That 70s Red. This one is a shade darker than the Coral Red, which sure is a bold look and so is perfect for a Sunday brunch.
The pinks from the summer palette when mixed with 3 times of grey, they turn all berry. This trend was seen the last fall as well and will stay this fall too. My pick is again from Sugar Cosmetics, Its A Pout Time Vivid Lipstick – 01 The Big Bang Berry.
The darker shades of red, with a grey undertone, makes it more of a deeper burgundy that is perfect for the evenings and the festive season this fall. Love the Matte as Hell crayon, Poison Ivy by Sugar Cosmetics
