Beauty Review Clarins – UV Plus High Protection Sunscreen

Clarins review, UV Plus Sunscreen review

This Clarins UV Plus High Protection Sunscreen with SPF 50 /PA++++, UVA – UVB, Oil free; claims that you can face the day with a triple protection from 100% mineral filters & the UV Plus shields from sun damage. It sure fights free radicals and DNA damage, thereby protecting your skin from early aging with the powerful extracts of anti-oxidant – Cantaloupe from Provence, along with patented anti-pollution complex that defends against the elements of aging.

This product is about lightweight, mineral-based sun protection suitable for normal to oily skin, and who, would want a moisturizer with sunscreen. The fragrant ingredients make this a not-so-good choice for sensitive skin, despite the sunscreen being very gentle yet efficient. I have seen a few tinted options as well but, the one I got was in white which is better suited for fairer skin tones with a yellow tint.

Focus Ingredients:

  • Cantaloupe Melon Extract – contains a concentration of super oxide dismutase, an antioxidative enzyme that neutralizes the harmful effects of free radicals on skin. Did you know that Clarins the Cantaloupe melon extract used by Clarins Laboratories comes from a non-hybrid, non-GM variety of melon from Provence, that is particularly resistant to aging compared to other classic varieties.
  • 100% Mineral UVA/UVB Filters – Guarantees high protection while respecting the skin
  • Plant Polymers – create an invisible “veil” on the skin, letting it breathe without leaving white traces.

Disclaimer: Sample sent across for review purpose by the brand – Clarins, either way my reviews are always untainted and honest.

My opinion:

Although, it is pricey at INR 2,850/- for a 30ml bottle, It is so lightweight & invisible that it pairs perfectly with any moisturiser. The silicones give a silky finish along with a broad-spectrum sun protection. Not suitable for dry skin ‘coz it doesn’t hydrate. I do love the fragrance in this Sunscreen, it is kind of addictive.
